the Purplussy tea-based mocktail (caffeine free)

• 9oz butterfly pea flower tea, cooled
• 1 pump Monin Elderflower syrup
• 1 pump Monin Sugar-free Sweetener
• 2-4 drops **food grade** Lavender Extract (depending how grandma-y you want it to taste)
• squirt of lime juice concentrate
• dash of **food grade** shimmer sparkles/edible glitter
• top with ice and stir

i learned this one from Dan and Phil (minus the dragon egg and boba pearls lol)! realistically i can't even remember if it's nine ounces of the tea, just put your tea bag in the mug and fill with enough water for it to steep while leaving enough room in it to add ice after it cools. i generally try to steep the tea an hour or two in advance while i sip on something else so that i don't run the risk of my mug breaking from the rapid temperature change that adding ice to a steaming hot beverage would pose. you will definitely want to find a clear mug for this one, the tea starts out blue but turns purple as acids from the other ingredients are added. the shimmer sparkles are just if you wanna be extra and gay :p and you will have to stir it occasionally as you drink it because the glitter tends to settle at the bottom after a bit.

Substitutions: so far i've only tried the Epicure butterfly pea flower tea which has some other stuff added to it (sweet orange peels, sweet orange flowers, apple pieces, hibiscus flowers, natural flavour, ginger root, licorice root) -- but you can no longer get it anywhere so when my stash of that runs out i will have to switch something else... so idk if the flavor will be different. if you're not worried about calories/sugar content, you can use two pumps of the elderflower syrup and not bother with the sugar-free sweetener. or i guess you could use however many pumps of each that you wanted, i'm not your mom! you could also probably use elderflower cordial instead of syrup (i believe that's what the original recipe does). you could use real lime juice if you wanted, i'm just lazy :b
